Our Garden to Kitchen

Our school garden is a vibrant, hands-on learning space where students connect with nature. They take part in activities such as planting, nurturing, and harvesting crops, as well as caring for animals. Students also use the produce they harvest to cook and share meals, building practical life skills while celebrating the fruits of their hard work. The Garden also enriches the curriculum by supporting learning in science, nutrition, and environmental education, creating meaningful, real-world learning experiences for all students.

Chickens

Our school chickens are cared for in a cosy coop, where students take part in feeding and collecting fresh eggs. This hands-on experience not only teaches responsibility but also helps students understand where food comes from and encourages a strong connection to nature and sustainable living.

Gardens

In our school gardens, students grow vegetables, fruits, and herbs while learning about healthy eating and the value of sustainable living. By planting, watering, and caring for the gardens, they develop responsibility, practical skills, and a meaningful connection to nature and the food they enjoy.

Kitchen

Students also have the opportunity to take their harvest from garden to table by cooking with the fresh produce they’ve grown. Whether it’s preparing simple snacks, creating healthy meals, or experimenting with new recipes, these experiences help students see the full journey of food—from seed to plate. Cooking with their own ingredients not only builds confidence and practical life skills but also encourages teamwork, creativity, and a love of nutritious eating.
